BACK TO SCHOOL! IT'S EXAM TIME FOR XP7

The school is knuckling down and working towards the next set of exams due to take place in July 2017. This is a chance for the students to really progress in their dancing and focus on technique. Each class of students will take at least one exam, which means that dance classes this term will focus primarily on building the grade work as per the syllabus', which are available for purchase from the front desk every Saturday. We recommend that you purchase these in order to help your child to practice during the week to achieve their best potential.

SENIORS EN POINTE!

The seniors took a trip to London to purchase their first pair of pointe shoes ready to begin their weekly pointe classes with Miss Christine, how exciting! Some pictures from the day can be found on our 'Gallery' page. We will keep you updated on their progress.

GUEST TUTORS ANDREW WALDREN

AND FRASER MURRAY VISIT EXPRESSATIVITY 7

The entire student body of Exppressativity 7 were treated to the professional classes of Andrew Waldren (Mack and Mabel, Nine to Five, Happy Days) and Fraser Murray (Rita Ora, Pixie Lott, BBC).
The students had an amazing time working with these two gentleman on their Musical Theatre dance and Commercial Street repertoire and thoroughly enjoyed learning from the boys.  This followed on from our first workshop with Hayley Reed and Katie Bradley earlier this year and the students once again were inspired and fired up for their summer holidays and have left energised and really keen to come back to regular classes in September with a new found determination.
All the students were able to showcase what they had learnt on the day in the main performance space and also demonstrated their regular class work to much delight of the parents that were able to come and observe what their children had/ have been learning.

'THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS'

IS OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY!

The dates have been released and choreography has started for this year's Christmas Showcase. We have taken the Christmas theme and ran a marathon (obviously!), with every class performing at least two dance styles ALL to Christmas music. The showcase will feature Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre and Street dance, so lots of variety and LOTS of Christmas Joy! After the performance, there will be a party to celebrate the hard work of all our wonderful students and the end of another fab year of dancing. Watch this space for more details, which will be added here when confirmed, but for now, get your Santa hats ready and remember these SUPER important dates!
